About me

 

My name is Tomos Hywel Evans and I'm a Character/ Creature artist, seeking a career in the games industry. I'm passionate about computer games and enjoy making character and creature art for games. I was born in South Wales, in Carmarthen and can speak fluently in Welsh.

 

I recently finished my Masters degree with a distinction. I was very happy to graduate from the Game art course with a 1st class honours and to recieve the award for best games artist at the end of the year show, and to also recieve another award at the Ffresh student festival for the same category.

 

I love computer games so much that for the past 4 years, I've been pursuing the role of a games artist, specializing in characters and creatures. I'm dedicated towards my work and am easily inspired by the simpelest things. I enjoy messing around in Zbrush, starting with a sphere and seeing where it takes me. I find CG art both challenging and enjoyable and am always eager to learn new techniques through a range of modelling software. 

 

My hobbies of course include playing a lot of games. I'm a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Witcher, Gears of War, Halo, Fable and Assassin's creed series. I'm also very competetive when it comes to multiplayer games and tend to let loose some strong swearing. But at the end of the day, I have fun with my friends online and also with my fellow students during a hard day's work in university.
